Zinc Sufide(ZnS) is a polycrystalline ceramic material. It is produced by means of the chemical vapor deposition(CVD). The CVD is a low pressure, high temperature process.
The project progress is required Facility, CVD reactor, and Gas supply.
CVD reactor should be located at the facility that is equipped electrical distribution, back up electrical system, lighting, fire splinkler & suppression systems, cooling water, compressed air, spray paint room & ventilation, HVAC, alarm syatem, and overhead cranes.
CVD reactor should be fabricated, installed, tested before product operation.
The precursors used in the ZnS CVD process are molten Zinc(Zn) metal vapors and gaseous Hydrogen Sulfide(H2S). Zinc metal vapors and the H2S gas react is a wide range of temperatures and pressures. But to produce high quality ZnS needs very narrow bands of temperature & pressure and must be tightly controlled.
H2S is flammable and toxic, and is colorless with an offensive odor of rotten egg’s smell. It is heavier than air. Hydrogen Sulfide is a commercially available product, and available through most commercial gas suppliers.
